The program will be known and recognized as Operation Eat for Strength of the Martin Pollak Project, Inc. The goal of EFORST is to provide variety of food items to the homeless people in the highland town community. The Highland Town Community has become a hub for the homeless and displaced people. Many of these individuals have medical challenges along with their homelessness. Even though many of these people may never have a permanent place to live, they deserve to eat well!
Funding/Food Solicitation
Donation of funds will be sort from various sources including online donations, staff, volunteers, corporations, and individuals.
Cook food will be solicited from neighborhood restaurants.
Initial Program Operations
The program will start out with breakfast food distribution once a week on Tuesdays.
Flyers will be circulated to where the homeless people gather to inform them of the program.
Food distribution will take place in front of Martin Pollak Project Building on Eastern Avenue from 9:30am – 10:30am.
Collaboration
In the immediate future, EFORST will collaborate with Meals on Wheels, a local Meals on Wheel operation in Baltimore.
