In 2008 The Martin Pollak Project moved from a downtown Baltimore inner harbor location to the neighborhood of Higlandtown in Southeast Baltimore City. We have embraced the community institutions, businesses, churches and families participating in community life and projects. MPP staff have served on the board of the Highlandtown Merchants Association, worked on the internationally attended inaugural Frank Zappa Day festival, participated in the Community for All Ages multi-year foundation supported project, worked with Art Cart Derby sponsored by the Creative Alliance and participate as leadership member of the Paterson park Baltimore Collaborative supported by the Casey Families Programs “Communities of Hope” national initiative. The Martin Pollak Project is a steering committee member of the Thriving Communities Collaborative working to bring trauma informed awareness and practices to families as well as community institutions.
The Martin Pollak Project values and invests significant time and energy in the service community of Baltimore and Maryland show in long time memberships in Maryland Non Profits, Maryland Association of Resources for Families and Youth, The Alliance of Legacy Agencies of Baltimore, Providers Advisory Council of Maryland Department of Human Resources and Family Centered Practice Advisory Committee of Maryland Social Services Administration.
