VISTA VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

Want to make a difference in a Baltimore kid’s life — AND receive all the benefits of being a VISTA volunteer?
NB is seeking an energetic and well-organized person to help manage outreach to potential volunteers and community organizations and help grow our program to serve more kids. NB has an approved application for a Strong City (VISTA) volunteer starting for a year in July 2018.
Working with a team of the Southeast Baltimore school coordinators and staff and board members of MPP, the VISTA volunteer would help to:
1) Improve the NB volunteer recruitment and training process;
2) Design a plan for ongoing recruitment of new volunteers and continuing maintenance of current volunteers (outreach, newsletters, presentations, etc.);
3) Track contacts with school and community organizations to establish NB as a partner in the neighborhood;
4) Identify potential sources of financial support for NB, both organizational and individual, to ensure sustainability of the program; and
5) Maintain a database for contacts and neighborhood partnerships to ensure NB’s continued growth.
